The objective of this lesson is for students to be able to understand what age-related macular degeneration is, what age group it affects, what race is most affected by the malady, what makes you more at risk, how many types of AMD are there, the 3 stages of dry macula, how to prevent vision loss and what are the treatments available.

Become familiarized with the different types of Age-related macular degeneration
Be able to distinguish between the 3 stages of Age-related macular degeneration
Be able to understand how DNA plays a role in Age-related macular degeneration
Be able to understand how to prevent vision loss
Be able to understand what treatments are available for Age-related macular degeneration
Receive immediate feedback and a chance to redo the problems they get wrong
