Macular Degeneration is near and dear to me since my brother suffers from MD, although he is only 49. He was diagnosed with it at the age of 48. Since the day he was diagnosed, I began to research the cause and genetic link of macula degeneration. My interest in the subject led me to a study conducted in 2007 in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center located in Nashville, Tennessee.
